On 29 June 2026, the “Yannis Mantakas” Choir of AUTh and the Choir Workshop of the School of Music Studies took part in the musical evening held within the two‑day celebrations of the Church of Saint Paul, as official guests of the Philanthropic Brotherhood of Men of Thessaloniki (FAATH).
The event took place at the historic and verdant FAATH Estate, offering a unique summer setting for the presentation of the programme.
The choir performed the emblematic song cycle “Small Cyclades” (Mikres Kyklades) by Mikis Theodorakis, set to poetry by Odysseas Elytis and arranged by Terpsichore Papastefanou. This is a work that radiates light, sea, and the essence of the Greek summer, finding an ideal space for expression in the natural landscape of the Estate.
The presence of our choirs once again affirmed their artistic dynamism and outward‑looking cultural identity. With a programme of high aesthetic quality and strong summer character, we offered an evening filled with musicality, poetry, and vibrant seasonal energy. This appearance also continued the successful collaboration with FAATH, which began with the major concert celebrating the 150th anniversary of its founding.
