40 Years of the School of Music Studies AUTh

The anniversary concert celebrating the 40 years of the School of Music Studies of AUTh was one of the landmark events of the University’s festive year. On the 22nd of May 2026, the Ceremonial Hall of AUTh was filled with members of the academic community, alumni, students, and friends of the School, in an evening dedicated to its history, evolution, and creative contribution.

The concert opened with the AUTh Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vladimiros Symeonidis, presenting an introductory section of high artistic quality and honoring the long-standing relationship between the School and the University’s symphonic ensembles.

The baton then passed to the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (TSSO), which offered a programme worthy of the anniversary, highlighting its enduring collaboration with the School of Music Studies.
