4th International Choir Festival of Igoumenitsa

The 4th International Choir Festival of Igoumenitsa concluded with great success on Saturday, 28 June 2025, at the Ancient Theatre of Gitana, in the presence of a large audience.  Established in 2018, the festival has now become a landmark event for choral music in Epirus and across Greece.

This year’s festival featured the “Armonia” Children’s Choir of Preveza, the “Armonia” Mixed Choir of Preveza, the “Yannis Mantakas” Choir of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the Mixed Adult Choir of the Cultural and Social Association of Igoumenitsa “Rena Kotsiou.” The choirs presented polyphonic works from the classical, traditional, and contemporary repertoire, creating an evening filled with emotion and artistic excellence.

The event was presented by Alexis Kostalas, while the artistic direction was overseen by conductor Kostas Tsinzas. The Festival was organized by the Cultural and Social Association of Igoumenitsa “Rena Kotsiou,” in collaboration with the Regional Unit of Thesprotia, the Municipality of Igoumenitsa, and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thesprotia.
